MEDICINE, KNOWLEDGE & STORY-KEEPER.

I weave together the threads of time, identity, and resistance to reclaim our stories/ancestral knowledge from colonial erasure. My work honors the land, spirits, and living histories that guide us toward a future rooted in collective healing and liberation.

JUANA OF ALL TRADES, MASTER OF MANY...

I've worn many hats throughout my career. Each industry added new layers to my skill set, and every experience deepened my understanding of what it means to connect, create, and heal. Whether you need support editing your novel, a new website, or someone to walk with you as you face transitions, grief, and life's challenges, I got you.

I help people express their truth through storytelling and mindful spiritual practices.

I'm always engaged in a variety of (I think) really cool projects like archival research, building out my family tree, organizing a fundraiser, or making art. You can stay on top of what I'm creating these days by following me on social media or take a quick peek below.

¡No queremos planta, queremos la salud!

A private Dominican company, owned by non-local elites, promised a sustainable energy plant for La Colmena in Las Galeras but is instead pursuing a polluting Bunker-C power plant, despite community opposition and harmful environmental and health impacts. Click to learn more.

CURRENTLY WORKING ON

Long-Term Artistic Fellowship

I spent a year studying the Early Modern World at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C., My work as a chrononaut brings me to weave together stories from the past, present, and future, with a particular focus on the island of Ayiti (Hispaniola). [Stay tuned for the outcomes of my fellowship]

ALWAYS WORKING ON

Knowledge-Keeping

My oral knowledge-keeping focuses on the folklore, plant medicines, and Early Modern history of Ayiti. While I value oral sharing, I’m also digitizing my work to make it accessible to diaspora and those without Elders to learn from. Before engaging with my stories, please read my notice on reciprocity and proper citation. Respecting the origins of this knowledge is essential to honoring the wisdom passed down by me and my Elders.

LET'S CONNECT

Whether you have questions or you're ready to book a session, I’d love to hear from you. Please keep in mind that I’m often traveling to gather stories, visit loved ones, or immersing myself in community work, so my response time may be a bit slower than colonial capitalism dictates. If your email is time-sensitive, please add "TIME SENSITIVE" to the subject line. I appreciate your patience and look forward to connecting soon!

My favorite part of being a knowledge-keeper besides being a perpetual student, is sharing what I learn with others. I love to study history, ethnobotany, the personal histories of my Elders, yoga and other medicines. You can learn more about what I'm learning and who I'm learning from by subscribing to my newsletter, following me on socials, or reading my blog. Take a look at some of my latest posts below.
